This is free in the original MountBlade, but in Warband and With Fire Sword, you have to pay a few denars/thalers. Highertier troops also have higher wages than lowertier ones. The maximum level is 62 due to an overflow glitch that occurs at 63.
Mount Blade II Bannerlord. ... I dont think the max level is 19. it seems that the number of skill pints you need to earn = 5 * lvl (ie lvl 12 = 60 skill pints, 13 needs 65, etc. ... This isnt a significant reduction as it would be the difference of a skill level or 2 off your soft cap this could mean if you get a level or 2 in the end.
